This is the first book in the "Cimarron Creek Trilogy," and was very enjoyable. It was a mystery story first and a love story second to my mind. You will guess "who-dun-it," so no surprise there, but the story has plenty of twists and turns in it, to keep you interested.
If I were being picky the fact that a town of under 200 people could keep a sweet shop in business, was a bit far fetched to my mind, but still very interesting to hear about what sweets/candy they liked to eat. What would have made this book perfect would have been recipes for the different candies included in the book.
Stars out of 5 : 4 It is one of those books that would be perfect to sit and read over a couple of afternoons. The next book in the Cimarron Creek Trilogy will be available early 2018 and it is a book I will be looking forward to reading. It's a feel good book that doesn't over tax the brain. It also made me curious to visit the Texas Hill Country as well.

I think you would like the Texas Hill Country -- my family, a lot of it anyway, came from that area and I still have family there. It is pretty and rugged -- until you get into Austin and then it is just "weird" -- haha -- Keep Austin Weird is the city's catch-phrase but you would love it too -- lots of little ecelectic shops, coffee houses and stuff like that -- and the state capitol. You should come for a visit sometime -- I could meet you there!
